We are absolutely over the moon that Deb Sharratt has been shortlisted for Outstanding Independent PR Practitioner, in the industry’s top awards in the region.
We can’t wait for the PRide Awards dinner which will take place at The Biscuit Rooms in Newcastle on Friday 7 December, of which we are sponsors, to find out who will take home the coveted awards!
She runs an amazing service for her clients and is adored by her CIPR students at nesma.
Deb set up 7 years ago, after an in-house career spanning the public, private and third sector including roles at Children North East, Pubmaster and One North East, including the ‘Passionate people. Passionate Places’ campaign.
Her client base consists mainly of tourism, leisure, travel and food businesses, however, the award of Independent Practitioner not only looks at the results of work for clients but also on their contribution to the industry and professional development.
And that’s something Deb does tirelessly! She has contributed to the success of the CIPR Northeast Committee in a number of roles over the past 14 years and currently holds the position of Vice-Chair and social media manager. In a voluntary capacity, she is co-writing a skill and best practice guide for CIPR and has co-authored articles on ethical influencer relations for both Influence Online and Vuelio, and also co-hosted a webinar for Vuelio on the same subject.
As you can imagine Deb is “ thrilled to have been shortlisted again” but as she explains, “Working on your own is not always easy but to have your work recognised by the highest standards in the industry, again, is a really special achievement for me and I’m looking forward to the award ceremony in December”.
nesma is also the category sponsor for ‘Regional Campaign of the Year‘ where the shortlist includes;
DTW, Sunderland City Council and FVB Joint Venture Northern Spire, Fusion PR Creative and Northumberland National Park Authority and Nexus.
Deb tutors on several CIPR qualification courses for nesma and also delivers the Influence Marketing series of workshops.
