for the North East region.
Clare, who achieved the highest marks in completing the CIM Diploma, is now a finalist in the Studying Member of the Year category in the CIM Northern Awards along with a candidate from the North West and a candidate from Yorkshire.
Sponsored by The Marketing Trust, The CIM Northern Awards, now in its third year, celebrates the insight, creativity and success of the Northern marketing industry, the outstanding campaigns and the talent from across the region.
The Awards ceremony will be held tonight in Manchester. There are 17 award categories, 13 of which are open to entries, and the evening event will once again be hosted by TV’s Andy Crane.
Veronica Swindale, who runs North East Sales and Marketing Academy (nesma), where Clare has been studying, said “Clare is one of those great marketers who has learned to combine work, study and family life. She first joined nesma for her CIM Professional Certificate in Marketing and a couple of years later came back to us for her CIM Diploma in Marketing. To achieve such high marks is a great commendation for all her hard work”.
Clare, who works for Rubb Buildings Ltd in Gateshead, said, “I am so proud to have been named North East Studying Member of the Year and shortlisted for the Northern Awards”.
She continued, “nesma’s flexible and friendly approach provided a great learning environment and support for people who are juggling family life with working and learning. Completing the CIM Diploma was a real personal achievement. The course content, tutors and fellow students have helped me build my knowledge and enhance marketing at my place of work”.
