North East marketer, Veronica Swindale, who runs nesma in Newcastle upon Tyne, has been
awarded CIM’s Ambassador of the Year Award for the region.

The accolade comes after Veronica was asked to present at CIM’s Conference in July on how she works on the regional board and as a CIM Accredited Study Centre to promote the role of marketing in the North East. It also rounds off a successful year for nesma and one that saw Veronica receive fellowship status from the CIM.

This award ensures that Veronica is now a finalist in the Ambassador of the Year category for CIM’s Northern Awards along with a candidate from the North West and a candidate from Yorkshire.

Sponsored by The Marketing Trust, The CIM Northern Awards, now in its fourth year, celebrates the insight, creativity and success of the Northern marketing industry, the outstanding campaigns and the talent from across the region. The Awards ceremony will be held in Manchester on Thursday 09 November. There are 17 award categories, 13 of which are open to entries, and the evening event will once again be hosted by TV’s Andy Crane.

Diane Earles, Network Manager for CIM, said “Congratulations to Veronica on being shortlisted. This recognises her commitment to CIM, not only over the last twelve months but for all the years she had been a member and run her successful CIM study centre.”

Veronica said, “It’s great to receive recognition like this. As a regional board, we are achieving great momentum in making sure that marketing is at the centre of every business and enterprise in the North East. nesma is very proud to be part of this progression alongside the great people who work and study with us.”
