Alice has graduated from the CIM Certificate in Professional Marketing which she feels has made a big difference to the way she interacts and can advise her clients as a Client Services Manager at Digital Allies.
How has studying with nesma helped you in your current role?
It has broadened and strengthened my knowledge across the marketing spectrum as a whole. As I work in the digital marketing industry, I felt I needed to delve deeper into traditional forms of marketing to be able to understand the needs of my current clients’ integrated marketing strategies.
What new skills do you now feel you can bring to the job?
A wealth of knowledge, able to identify issues/risks with clients marketing strategies/product/service offering and advise with substance and facts. The course has made me more creative, and I appreciate the added value of integrated marketing.
What words of advice would you give anyone considering a career in marketing?
Do it! But also study the tricks of the trade and do your research. Marketing is a hugely rewarding industry to work in, and there is no better feeling than running a successful marketing campaign for a client.
What is the most enjoyable part of your job?
I love working closely with clients, understanding their businesses and being able to provide solutions to grow their business.
Has the CIM qualification added anything to your day to day role that you didn’t expect?
Absolutely. I was given a promotion after completing the qualification as my employer saw the value of the qualification and appreciated my attitude to working on my professional development. I feel so much more confident when advising clients on best practise now.
