North East based Jaya Bedi has been shortlisted in the Studying Member Category of the 2016 CIM Northern Awards.
Sponsored by The Marketing Trust, The CIM Northern Awards, now in its third year, celebrates the insight, creativity and success of the Northern marketing industry, the outstanding campaigns and the talent from across the region. The Awards ceremony will be held in Newcastle on Thursday 03 November. There are 16 award categories, 12 of which are open to entries, and the evening event will once again be hosted by TV’s Andy Crane.
Veronica Swindale, who runs North East Sales and Marketing Academy (nesma), where Jaya has been studying the CIM Diploma, said “Nesma is delighted that Jaya Bedi has been shortlisted for CIM Studying Member of the Year 2016. Jaya has worked hard throughout her Level 6 Diploma in Professional Marketing (Driving Innovation) course with nesma, securing the highest aggregate of marks across all three modules for 2015/2016. It has been a real pleasure to work with Jaya and we are pleased that she has also been mentoring a younger nesma studying member who has recently joined a professional services firm in Cumbria.”
Jaya, who works for Hay & Kilner Solicitors, said, “I’m thrilled to have been recognised by this nomination following a challenging but very rewarding year studying towards the CIM Diploma (Driving Innovation). I’m delighted with my results for the modules and I feel that the contemporary knowledge I’ve gained from the syllabus has further equipped me in my marketing and business development role at a professional services firm. My experience of studying for the Diploma has certainly been enhanced by my study centre, because it tailored the delivery of the syllabus to the nuances of its students’ respective company environments. The tutors motivated and encouraged me, which helped me greatly given that I took on a new position just a fortnight into my studies. Studying for the Diploma has opened so many doors for me with regards to the marketing skills I have developed, the networks I have grown and the confidence I have built in a professional context.”
