Session 1 – Optimising your Social Media copy

Social media is an incredibly powerful place to create and grow your business, and even to develop your own brand community. But so many of us struggle to ‘make the switch’ from a personal presence on social media to using it as a business and conveying our marketing message in an effective way.

Whether you’re currently using social media or not, you’re going to want to build some kind of business presence in the not too distant future, and in doing so, learn how to apply some key techniques to your copy to help optimise it to ensure your business’s success.

*These copywriting techniques can also be applied to the likes of email marketing, web copy, advertising, and more…

We will cover:

  • Who your audience is and how you can ‘talk to them’
  • Identify specific features of social media copy you should be paying attention to
  • Consider how you can be structuring your social media copy to maximise your marketing message

Session 2 – Using Canva to create your visuals

Canva is an incredibly powerful and free online design tool that allows you to create, edit, and publish image and video-based content in a matter of minutes! Whether it’s adding text to a photo, putting your logo on a video, or simply storing your product images in a single destination, this design tool can do it all and provide you with a stress-free experience for your business.

  • Introduce ‘Canva’ and identify features of the tool you should know about
  • Understand how to use the tool to design content
  • Create 3x templates to recycle for your digital content on social media and beyond

Session 3 – Using Facebook’s Creator Studio to schedule content and manage your business’s social presence

For any business, the most time consuming part of managing your social media presence tends to be the creation of your content. This lack of time means that, for many of us, we tend to produce content reactively rather than proactively. In this session, we’re going to address how we can reverse this habit by planning ahead and scheduling our Facebook and Instagram content using the free business tool from Facebook, ‘Creator Studio’.

*Note: you will need to have an existing Facebook Business Page to make use of the tool

  • Identify the significance of scheduling for your business
  • Understand how ‘Creator Studio’ can save you time and money
  • Take note of other features of the business tool that sets it apart from the competition
