CIM has now released details of the fourth category in their 2017 Northern Awards, which will be held in Manchester on Thursday 09 November.
nesma, a CIM Accredited Study Centre, decided to sponsor The Public Sector category this year, partly because last year it was won by local agency The Works for their work with Gateshead college and to encourage a number of our students who work in the sector.
The CIM Northern Awards, now in its fourth year and sponsored by the Marketing Trust, celebrates the insight, creativity and success of the Northern marketing industry, the outstanding campaigns and the talent from across the North of England, including the Isle of Man. There are 17 award categories, 13 of which are open to entries, and the evening event will once again be hosted by TV’s Andy Crane.
Richard Kenyon FCIM, Director of Marketing and Communications at Everton Football Club, is to judge the Public Sector category. Richard joined Everton Football Club in 2014 from Kenyon Fraser which, initially as Managing Director, and then as Chief Executive, he built into a leading marketing and communications agency in the North West region and one of the fastest-growing in the UK. He is a regular speaker at marketing and sports seminars across the UK and internationally and earlier this year he became Chair of the CIM North West Regional Board.
Richard will be looking for the outstanding marketing campaign, which was successfully delivered by or on behalf of a public sector organisation. This category was won last year by North East based agency, The Works, for their Rebrand of Gateshead College identity & recruitment campaign. A case study of their campaign can be found here.
