It’s that time again, time for the Glass Slipper Awards 2019

Where the achievements of inspirational women across the North East will be recognised at The Chronicle Sunshine Fund’s Glass Slipper Awards 2019. The headline sponsor this year is North and the afternoon awards ceremony will take place on Friday 22nd February 2019 at the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead.

nesma boss, Veronica Swindale,  is absolutely delighted to be nominated for the North East Champion award and from the list below you can see what great company she is in.  The North East Champion award recognises and celebrates the achievements of a talented individual that does genuinely inspiring things in the North East through their job role. They should be an ambassador for the region spreading the word about all the incredible things taking place focusing the spotlight on the region. The North East Champion is an individual making a real difference ensuring the North East maintains its position as one of the UK’s leading cities.

Veronica is the Managing Director of nesma. A company she set up in 2010 following a successful career in sales and marketing, after recognising the need for good quality professional education in marketing and communications in the North East. nesma is now an accredited teaching centre for the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and the Digital Marketing Institute and she has extended its reach into Scotland and Cumbria. The centre has taught and inspired over 200 students and contracts with over 15 specialist tutors and has shown solid growth throughout this period.

Veronica coaches, teaches, consults and facilitates as well as driving the business forward and has achieved some of the highest awards a marketer can get. She is a Chartered Marketer, a Fellow of CIM and was awarded the CIM Ambassador of the North in 2017 for her commitment and service to the CIM both nationally and regionally. She has been a trailblazer for the CIM Leadership Qualification and ensured that nesma was selected as one of only seven study centres across the UK to deliver this qualification. In November 2018 she announced a strategic partnership with CIM to deliver nine new training courses from the Newcastle Study Centre in addition to adding four new CIPR qualification courses to the nesma portfolio this year.
