Why did you choose to study this qualification?
This course appealed to me as I had no formal marketing training, but I do have aspirations for career progression into marketing management of a global company.

That I still enjoy studying!

Yes – it has given me the confidence to own the digital marketing function in the business and equipped me with the tools to do so.
What did you enjoy most about the studying process?
I enjoyed doing a deep dive into audits and research techniques that I would not have had the space to do in my day to day job role.
What do you do differently as a result of your studies?
I always take a step back and listen to the customers/users – my opinion on the correct tool or strategy doesn’t matter; it’s what the customer wants to do that counts, and that’s where we need to meet them.
What words of advice would you give anyone considering a career in marketing/PR?
It can be an incredible career full of creativity, technology and problem-solving. Ranging from quick turnarounds to longer-term campaigns.
What are the significant changes within your industry at present?
Maintaining a competitive edge against online retailers.

Training for a marathon!
