nesma’s 5th birthdaynesma 5th bday

nesma’s 5th Birthday Celebrations nesma achieved its 5th birthday in the Autumn and celebrated at As You Like It! in December.

People enjoyed the networking so we will be hosting another event in Newcastle in partnership with CIM North East Region on Friday 8 April (just after the hand in date so you can celebrate another assignment well done)!

Myeloma UK Fundraiser

What is nicer than having a coffee and a catch up on a Sa turday morMyeloma Coffee morning group shotning with friends? When it is in aid of a fantastic cause of course. nesma teamed up with Myeloma UK to host a coffee morning to raise money for the bone cancer charity and ‘help make Myeloma history’!

The morning was lovely with cakes from Tynemouth market, fresh coffee from Lavazza and donations from everyone who joined in. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who stopped by and donated, whether it was a quick hello as you handed in your assignment or you stayed for a natter and a cake all your help was appreciated.

NE Expo 2015

NE Expo HeatherOn November 18th nesma attended the NE Expo with over 180 other exhibitors at Kingston Park. The North East’s biggest business show gave us a great chance to network and promote new courses starting in 2016! There were plenty of familiar faces, including Jo Dolezal of Dolezal Consulting who was exhibiting and also offers a range of short courses held at nesma.

The event was such a success that we will be back again in April 2016… Tickets are free so why not pop along?

CIM North

Durham GinContinuing our successful alliance with the CIM we have attended many of the CIM events going on in the North East. In the past couple of months we have been in Stockton, Newcastle and Wynyard and Penrith representing both nesma and the CIM.

Durham Gin gave a great talk at Queens Campus, Stockton about Durham’s only gin distillery and how the business was developed and marketed from the very beginning right through to now.

At Newcastle Business School owner of Concept Personnel, Jo Carter, spoke to students about How to go about getting a career in marketing. Jo was joined by one of our Level 6 students Jaya Bedi who spoke about her journey towards establishing herself in marketing and Helena Barras, Marketing Manager at Tracerco and what has helped her build her successful marketing career. Additionally. nesma MD Veronica Swindale gave great insight into the qualifications and experience that would propel students to the top of the applicant list when looking for a marketing role.

Come and see what the fuss is about in 2016… CIM events North

Christmas Lunch in Carlisle

The floods did not deter us as we made our way to Carlisle for a festive lunch at the Quarter Lounge. We were pleased to see so many of our Carlisle DMI and CIM students and enjoyed some great food and conversation.

We look forward to scheduling another one in the Spring!
