A new qualification has been launched by The Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR).

nesma will be offering the new digital diploma alongside its other qualifications for PR professionals. It aims to provide a strategic understanding of social and digital communication.

Taught at post-graduate level, the CIPR Specialist Diploma (Digital Communications) offers practitioners exposure to theoretical and practical digital communication frameworks that protect and enhance business reputation.

Candidates will review ethical, digital communication strategies, while learning about the disruptive impact of digital technologies on society and business, including the rise of social media influencers and citizen journalism.

Students will be expected to analyse research into stakeholder relationship management, community building and management, content creation and curation tools, platform selection and principles of evaluation. They will learn to measure and evaluate digital and social media activities with stakeholders and online communities while considering legal and ethical implications.

The course is designed for both agency and in-house PR practitioners working in public relations, corporate communication, marketing communication, internal communication, public affairs or media relations, who have experience or responsibility for digital communication.

The qualification takes between six and eight months to complete and only requires 2-3 hours of studying per week.

If this course interests you, we already have a waiting list, so please register your details with Lucy to be part of the first cohort.
