Congratulations to nesma tutor Kris Woods who was recently awarded Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy. (FHEA) this is in addition to the CIM Fellowship award she received in 2014.

HEA Fellowship is an international recognition of Kris’s commitment to professionalism in teaching and learning in higher education and demonstrates that her practice is aligned with the UK Professional Standards Framework (UKPSF).

The Higher Education Academy (HEA) is owned by Universities UK (UUK) and GuildHE and promotes higher education for the public benefit through

  • Providing strategic advice and co-ordination to the higher education sector, government, funding bodies and others on policies and practices that will impact upon and enhance the student experience.
  • Supporting and advancing curriculum and pedagogic development across the whole spectrum of higher education activity.
