The Northern Housing Consortium (NHC) is the leading not-for-profit membership body for councils and social housing providers across the North of England, with over 40 years expertise and influence. Through our Consortium Procurement brand, we provide procurement solutions for around 450 member organisations across the UK.
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced marketing and communications professional to join the team to drive the procurement marketing activities and help NHC achieve their sales objectives.
Reporting to the Head of Communications and working closely with the Commercial Director, this is the perfect role for someone who enjoys variety and who can demonstrate the full breadth of communications and marketing skills, from working at a strategic level planning and executing multi-media strategies, to getting stuck into day-to-day communications activity – creating excellent content and liaising with our members and suppliers. Key duties will include:
- Developing and managing an integrated, multi-media marketing and communications strategy for Consortium Procurement, the commercial arm of the NHC, that maximises sales opportunities.
- Embedding and coordinating internal and external communications across all stakeholders across the period of the role.
- Creating engaging and exciting copy and digital content tailored to different audiences.
- Ensuring that the Consortium Procurement brand and reputation is developed, maintained, and upheld at all times.
Educated to Communications/Marketing degree level or equivalent, and with at least two years of experience working at a senior level within a communications or marketing role, you will have strong copy writing and verbal skills. You will be strategic in your outlook, yet able to react quickly to new opportunities that arise. You will have strong analytical skills to manipulate data and you will be able to demonstrate commercial thinking and keep abreast of market trends.
In return, NHC offer a friendly and flexible working environment, excellent benefits and the opportunity to further develop your communications and marketing skills within this exciting and rapidly changing sector. This role is temporary for 12 months and will be home based initially with remote working options going forward.
