Job overview

The communications and marketing assistant will be responsible for communicating Northumbria Health (private patients) information to staff and patients both online, in print and on social media. They will also be expected to create and support the development of compelling content such as stories, infographics, digital media assets, films and animations. They will be competent at drafting content for different audiences and communication channels.

This person will be responsible for team administration including monitoring social media enquiries, responding to queries and liaising with other members of the private patients team to offer support where required.

This is a key role which will give the postholder the opportunity to get involved in all aspects of the teams remit. The work is varied and challenging which makes this an exciting and interesting opportunity for the right person.

Main duties of the job

The posts main base is at the office on Cobalt Business Park in North Tyneside. Travel across Northumberland and North Tyneside is a requirement of the role so a driving licence and access to a car would be essential.

Overall responsibilities include:

  • Create engaging content for communications platforms including video and photo
  • Support day-to-day interactions with the public online and via social medial
  • Coordinate responses to queries received through various platforms
  • Handle enquiries from public
  • Provide support to the PR team
  • Administration duties to support the team, projects and events
