Influencer PR & Marketing – Intermediate – Newcastle – 18 Sept

A 1-day course to take you through the fundamentals of working effectively and ethically with influencers while complying with legislation and regulations.

The Essentials of Influencer PR & Marketing

This full-day workshop is designed for both marketing and public relations professionals and will show you how to work effectively and ethically with influencers, whilst keeping you on the right side of legislation and regulations.

More and more organisations and brands have started to work with bloggers and social media influencers on short and ongoing campaigns, yet it is much more than simple blogger outreach that is needed. Instead, this workshop will help you to develop a sustained and strategic approach, that is both ethical and effective.

Delivered by marketing/PR professionals and influencers, our Essentials of Influencer Marketing & PR is a practical skills session that will help you master the fundamentals of influencer relations. You will learn how to identify appropriate influencers, identify fake followers, understand the difference and importance of follow and no-follow links, how to ensure full disclosure of brand and blogger, what Domain Authority and Page Rank metrics actually mean, as well as being able to analyse engagement and the impact on your
business.

You will learn:
- whether working with influencers right for your client/organisation
- how to identify influencers
- how to approach influencers
- the difference between influencers and traditional media and marketing activity
- how to create a campaign that works
- how to work within the legal framework and regulations
- how to evaluate your campaign

The course is delivered by Anne-Marie Lacey, a Chartered PR practitioner and current CIPR National Outstanding Young Communicator of the Year. She is Chair of CIPR North East and through her own PR agency works with influencers on a daily basis; and Debbie Sharratt who is both a PR & Marketing professional, former CIPR North East Freelance PR of the year, independent practitioner and lifestyle blogger, sharing tips learnt from the world of influence, and Vice Chair of CIPR North East.
