I deliver the CIM Certificate in Professional Digital Marketing – Level 4 – Digital Marketing modules and the Digital Marketing modules on the CIM Diploma in Professional Marketing / Digital Marketing – Level 6 across Cumbria.

My background

I am Managing Director and founder of Blue Shadow Marketing, a full-service agency based in Cumbria, working strategically with clients to help their businesses to grow and flourish across various industry sectors. I have a background in the Arts, hospitality and motorsport sectors, plus experience of working with Virgin Retail, the Ford World Rally Team, the V&A Museum and the Imperial War Museum. I studied with nesma for the Level 6 CIM Professional Marketing Diploma (Digital Strategy) and I have a Masters degree in Victorian Studies.

My particular skills and experience

I’m a strategist by nature and I enjoy the challenge of keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in digital marketing. I enjoy writing good content too.

Why I love my job!

I think digital marketing has created a tremendous opportunity for small businesses, empowering staff with no specialist marketing skills to communicate directly with customers. However, there are challenges in determining how best to navigate the ‘noisy’ digital arena. I love to use my skills to help steer them in the right direction, supporting them strategically, and advising them on critical actions to help move them forward. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of helping a stumbling business to flourish and fly.
