How the CIM Accredited Degree works

If you have studied for a degree or masters in the last five years and want to take advantage of the CIM Accredited Degree exemptions, here’s what you need to know.

The CIM Accredited Degree programme provides students and graduates support and exemptions to gain a professional qualification or award either alongside their marketing degree or within five years of completing it.

If you haven’t completed your CIM Diploma in Professional Marketing or your CIM Diploma in Professional Digital Marketing whilst at University nesma can help you achieve this.

CIM has mapped the content from many degree courses, against CIM qualifications to apply exemptions for certain modules.

Providing you achieve a 2:2 or above (undergraduate) or a pass mark (postgraduate), you can study the additional modules with us. Bear in mind you will need to register as a CIM member within 3 years of graduating to claim the exemptions. Then you have up to 5 years from graduating to complete the additional module(s) to gain your full qualification.

To find out if your degree is CIM Accredited Degree approved and what exemptions you can take advantage of you need to use the CIM search facility.

This will let you know if your qualification has been approved by CIM and what exemptions are available to you. Below is as an example of the first listing you see when you add Newcastle University into the search.

If you think you are eligible for the CIM Accredited Degree please make sure Lucy Davidson knows at the time of enrollment, where you studied, the exact name of your Degree course, and if you studied in the past 5 years.

Please note if you studied more than 5 years ago,
you will no longer be eligible for exemptions.

To have your exemption(s) confirmed you will need to send a copy of your degree certificate and transcript to exemptions@cim.co.uk and lucy.davidson@nesma.co.uk when you apply to study with nesma.
