What I do for nesma

I manage the day to day going on in the office, website development, social media and administration.

My background

I graduated from University in 2014 after studying for Corporate Communications and Integrated Marketing Communications for 4 years in America. While in Missouri I also played Division 1 tennis on a full scholarship. After graduating I travelled for a couple of months around the West Coast of America (travel is one of my passions) and on my return I started work at Durham University Business School as a Marketing Assistant. After a few months working at the University, where I helped with marketing surveys, market research and idea generation for the website and social media, I met Veronica and joined nesma in Business Development. Since joining nesma in 2015 I have achieved a Merit in the CIPR Level 3 Foundation Certificate, a Distinction in the CIM Level 4 Certificate in Professional Marketing and I recently just passed the Strategic Marketing module of the CIM Level 6 Diploma in Professional Marketing.

My particular skills and experience

My skillset predominantly lies in communications and marketing, with my passion being internal comms. My experience lies within marketing communications as just about everything I do is online and focused on creating valuable content. I also enjoy continuously learning and developing my skills as a marketer and I love networking, particularly in the North East as everyone is always friendly!

Why I love my job!

My role at nesma is so broad and varied that no day is the same and I love learning on the job, whether it is how to develop the website or what the latest trends in social media are for our industry. I am a real people person so I thrive from working in an environment where I get to speak with and meet our customers daily, this really helps in developing the business around their needs. I also get the opportunity to meet many great marketers in the North East and they all have something different to share with me adding value to my knowledge.
