Join CIPR North East for an update on crisis comms with three of the region’s key speakers – Huw Lewis, Customer Service Director at Nexus; Neal Smith, Communications Manager at Virgin East Coast; and Liz Davies, Marketing & Communications Manager at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

Huw will look at how to use social media to drive crisis communications – what works and what doesn’t, top tips etc; whilst Neal will reflect on how you cannot plan for everything and how to cope with data protection issues when defending yourself with pix and video footage. Liz will then consider the region’s NHS response to the global cyber-attack and reflect on lessons learned.
The briefing will close with a panel discussion and a Q&A session chaired by Laurel Hetherington setting out some best practice social media top tips.
Places are limited for this session which is supported by Newcastle University and will be held under Chatham House Rules. There will be bacon sarnies and Danish pastries from 8.30am.
