Marketing Module Overview

The Marketing module is about recognising the importance of marketing's role in driving success and delivering results. It covers the knowledge and understanding of the function of marketing within the organisation and demonstrates how an appreciation of customer behaviour can enable effective targeting. It provides an understanding of how external environmental influences affect planning and how information enables decision making. It outlines the elements of the marketing mix and how these are applied to address market and customer needs.

This is a course for the aspiring professional marketer who wishes to gain knowledge and skills to succeed and progress within a career in marketing.

Topics covered:

  • Building cross-functional relationships
  • Harnessing resources to deliver effective marketing solutions
  • Creating effective communications to deliver value to customers
  • Understanding product and brand management
  • The marketing communications mix
  • Developing integrated marketing communications.

This module can be taken standalone as a bite-size course or studied as part of the CIM Level 4 Certificate in Professional Marketing  It will give you the ability to understand the wider role of marketing and how your practical skills can be applied to your career progression within the marketing profession. Successful achievement of the CIM Certificate will allow progression onto the CIM Diploma in Professional Marketing (Level 6).
